Housing societies & RWAs
₹18,000 per kW for common facilities — lifts, water pumps, lighting and EV charging — up to 500 kW (3 kW per house).
Low-interest solar loans
Collateral-free loans at about 5.75% (repo + 0.5%) for up to 10 years; up to ₹2 lakh for systems up to 3 kW. SBI scheme.
DCR panels for subsidy
Subsidised home systems must use made-in-India panels with Indian cells (Domestic Content Requirement). No relaxation.
ALMM List-I & List-II
Net-metered and open-access plants need ALMM-listed modules; from June 2026 cells must also be ALMM List-II. MNRE.
GST cut to 5%
From 22 Sep 2025, GST on solar devices fell from 12% to 5% — about ₹9,000–10,500 cheaper on a 3 kW system. Turnkey EPC ≈ 8.9% effective. PIB.
Benefits for businesses
There is no central capital subsidy for commercial & industrial rooftops — but the economics are strong.
40% depreciation
Accelerated depreciation on owned solar systems lowers your tax. Confirm with your CA.
Open access
Green Energy Open Access lets consumers with 100 kW+ load buy solar power from off-site plants.
Zero-investment PPA
OPEX/RESCO: we fund the plant; you pay per unit below grid tariff.
ESG & RE100
Solar helps meet customer, investor and export-market carbon targets.
Net metering with MSEDCL
A bidirectional meter records the solar power you export; MSEDCL bills only the net units. We submit the application, get the meter installed and arrange the inspection.

Standalone solar pumps up to 7.5 HP with 30% central support plus state support; the farmer pays a small share. MNRE.
Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump
Maharashtra farmers pay only 10% (SC/ST 5%) for an off-grid solar pump. MSEDCL.
MSKVY 2.0
